About Me.

Hi, I am YuenYin,a computer graphics designer from Hong Kong.

Who I am &
What I care about.
I am currently an architectural computer graphics designer at Kengo Kuma & Associates.
I have an intellectual curiosity which constantly drives me on learning on a broad spectrum of interests including languages, 3d modelling, illustrations and even music.
In the process of architectural design, how users feel, reach and access the space are always on the top priority.
Having architecture as a starting point, I believe there are a lot more to explore on user-experience valued designs.

How I get here.
Graduated from the Architecture school in 2017, I saw a wide spectrum of opportunities in my future career path with the skills I learned at the university. I am open to challenges and changes, I believe every one of them brings me insights and chances for growth, which is one of the reasons why I relocated to Japan in 2018.

I am always eager to learn and expertise in new areas. Japanese being one of the aspects, I have grown interest in Japanese since high school and was qualified for N1 proficiency test a few years later. This had also equipped me for the relocation to Japan. The experience of relocating to a new city has broadened my horizon, at the same time allowing me to realize more potentials of myself.
What I have been doing.
Before I moved to Japan, I have worked as an intern, as well as an architectural assistant at a local architecture firm. I joined the CG team of Kuma’s studio in 2018 and have acquired skills on several 2D and 3D softwares over the years. On top of that, I decided to extend my expertise in UX/ UI Design since I believe the experience and skills I have are not limited to architecture field only. Thus I finished the UX Design Specialization course by Google, helping me acquire not only a certificate, but also experience of a complete design process of UX projects.

With the curiosity and learning ability of mine, I believe I would be adapting new positions fast. I am now eager for new experiences, utilizing softwares and language skills I acquire. So please feel free to contact me for any exciting opportunities.
